In honor of Father's Day - I decided to post a really late tribute to my pops. There are lots of pictures that include family and momma so it's kind of a tribute to everyone. I decided to touch on a few highlights in Dad's life that make him who he is. Enjoy!
1. Holding babies... Dad seems to have a knack for snuggling up to the nearest baby. This one is Stan.

And many years later as grandpa doing the same thing... this is Jillian.

2. His daughters... He has seen us both off after major milestones in our lives. This is me graduating.

Then giving his first daughter away.
And 7 years later on the same day - giving away his last daughter.
3. Traveling and having fun... This was in Hawaii in 2006. We were out in the ocean and of course I had to see how tall I would be if I stood on Dad's shoulders while he balanced on a coral reef. This is how it turned out.
He got to golf in Hawaii with the men of the family. Stan was serving his mission and missed all the fun.

3. a) Still traveling and having fun... This was our Corbett reunion in Utah in 2007. Dad always loves to have fun when posing for the camera.

I had to throw this one in there randomly. It really captures Ross' and Dad's relationship. But mostly how Dad always tries to have a good time and make us laugh.
4. Dad and me... When I started this post I realized how many places we have been together. We got to take a day trip to New York (thank you uncle!) and see all the necessary sights in Manhattan. This is Central Park in the wee hours of the morning. I loved all the green!
And then doing some resting and thinking at a local bench. Dang, look at those profiles! Am I his daughter or what!

5. Dad and Mom... These next few show the love after 30+ years. Here they are in Hawaii again. Probably after he apologized for trying to block her pass in the picture before.

This was when my Dad had to chaperon one of Higley's dances so he brought his date with him. I think they even got pictures done there and then gave us kids the wallet sizes. Haha.
One of my favorites... This was after Ben and I were sealed and we were taking our pictures. My parent's faces perfectly capture what they had been going through up until the wedding. From hospital visits, to staph infections to doctor bills - my parents were troopers and I can't thank them enough for how much they made that day so easy for me.

6. Tears... My Dad has always been a rock. I knew growing up that if Dad cried, it was serious! He'll even admit that he has become a little softy in these recent years. He never fails to tell each of his kids how much he loves them and how much him and mom think about them. I'll never forget how I felt in this picture. I knew that I was going to be having a new man of the house after this day.

Oh.. makes me love your dad too. I love how much you look just like him. And thanks for reminding me about how he carried a purse at your wedding...I had forgotten about that.
For those of you who do not know Jeff Taylor very well let me shed a little light on the topic. Lets put it this way I could not have asked for a better father-in-law. Enough Said.
Love ya Dad,
Jared
Wow, have I ever told you that you are a hard act to follow? I was fair and didn't post a mother's or father's day tribute. Great work....i loved reading it. I feel bad for dad in the one in the ocean, he looks like he is in pain. No wonder his neck hurts all the time. Hmmmm!
That was a nice tribute of your dad. I can't wait to get to know him better through your kids baby blessing, baptisms etc. through the years.
Thanks for sharing that about your Dad...aren't Daddy's great?
Love the pictures!! Did I ever tell you I loved your dress?? Well I do...
