Things to remember at 6 months (May 2012):
- rolling, spinning, and "inch-worming" everywhere, no crawling
- can sit up with assistance
- sleeping 12 hours 6am-6pm
- nursing with solids
- LOVES swimming
- LOVES baths
- smiles at everyone
- always, always, always kicking his legs or jumping on your lap (translation: he's happy and wants to move)
- does not sleep at church, still a nightmare
- gets out of his swaddle every night and at nap time but still wakes up smiling
- diagnosed with plagiocephaly (left side of head mildly flattened) and torticollis (tilted head due to tight neck muscle)...let me explain...
We were told that the flattened head and stiff neck go hand in hand but they don't really know which comes first. It could be due to the way he was in the womb or the 2 hours of pushing during labor. Either way the helmet costs $3000 and the physical therapy for the neck was $100 per appointment. We prayed about it and decided since the flat head was so mild we are going to take our chances without a helmet. I went to a few pt appointments and learned some stretches and exercises to help Wyatt strengthen the weaker side of his neck. At our 2nd appointment she already saw improvements so we have continued to work with him at home. I think his neck looks so much better!

hahahah he is so cute! he does look like the gerber baby! that headband on him is hilarious he's like huh?? so glad he is doing so much better! :)
OK, Wyatt with a headband on looks like Reese as a baby. Its probably just me that thinks that but that was my first thought. Glad that things are better with his neck, although I never noticed anything. I cant believe that a helmet could cost $3K. Talk about inflating prices because people have no other options.
Yeah new pictures! He's so much fun to watch! Can't wait to play with him again next week!
